 "Bhutan Black Necked Crane Festival" is a short eight-day tour designed by Paradise Destination to Bhutan. We visit the famous places of Bhutan, like Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro. We are going to take part in the celebration of the Black Necked Crane Festival in town Gangtey. At first, we visit the Memorial Chorten, Nunnery temple, the mini zoo to see Takin, the national animal of Bhutan. We visit the Changangkha monastery for the Buddhist monks and Thimpu Dzong. The most famous places of Thimphu a folk- heritage museum, Tashichoo Dzong, and paper factory. We will have a short sightseeing trip to Paro. We visit Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, and the oldest temple in the city. We will go Drungyal Dzong (1646), build to remember Bhutan's victory over Tibetan in 1600. If the day was pretty clear, we could see the mesmerizing view of MT. Chomolhari (7,314), second highest mountain of Bhutan.     Day 01: Paro to Thimphu

    After having breakfast, we travel to Thimphu through Dochu La Pass. On the way, we can see beautiful mountains; we descend through rhododendron, fir, and hemlock. We visit the Taktsang Monastery. We spend some time on Taktsang. Stay overnight at Thimphu.

    Day 02: Sightseeing in Thimphu

    Today we spend our whole day sightseeing in Thimphu. At first, we visit the Memorial Chorten, Nunnery temple, the mini zoo to see Takin, the national animal of Bhutan.     Day 03: Thimphu to Punakha: 2-3 hours

    After having a soft breakfast, we will have a scenic drive to Thimphu to Punakha via Dochu La Pass and rhododendron forest. Punakha Finally, after having four hours of a long journey, we reach Punakha, then we visit Punakha Dzong, which reflects the local architecture and full of Buddhist substances. At the end of the beautiful day, we pass through the longest bridge of Bhutan. Spend the night on Homestay with local people in Punakha.

    Day 04: Punakha to Gangtey

    Today we explore Wangduephodrang. We will pass through several dense forests of pine, rhododendron, etc. to reach Gangtey. It is a beautiful village surrounded by snow-capped mountains. From this village, we can see amazing views of mountains and Phobjikha valley. We explore the town and drive back to Punakha. Stay overnight at Hotel.

    Spend the whole day on the excursion of Gangtey.

    Day 06: Gangtey to Paro: 4 hours

    After breakfast, we will prepare a hike to Tiger's Nest (3,180m), the most visited monastery of Bhutan. We spend our day on Taktsang. The monastery is on the edge of a cliff above Paro village. After having lunch at the Cafeteria Restaurant, we descend to the valley. Stay overnight at Paro.

    After breakfast, our staff will drop you at the airport.

VISA

As soon as you reach the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu you will get visa card. We don’t need to bring yourpassport size photos theirs a automatic visa machine which don’t ask for a photos. But you need to carry 3 photos for a Trekking permit and others. You have to pay USD 30 for a 15 days visa, USD 50 for 30 days visa and USD 125 for 90 days visa for multiple visas.

Airport condition

Although Nepalese are kind and helpful persons but as we know all people are not same and doesn’t have same intensions. When you arrive at Kathmandu airport we need peoples to carry your goods and several luggage for this purpose you will hire a some airport touts. They  would ask a large amount of money but you have to give them only 1-2 dollars. Some peoples over the airport are only  to cheat the tourists . Some people also may act like a taxi driver and kidnap you so be careful and think before you take a single step. 

Which currencies are acceptable in Nepal?

Major currencies like USD, EURO, AUD etc. are eligible for visa and for general work and also there are many ATM’s in Pokhara and Kathmandu. You can use your currencies in general shoppings and restaurant but you need Nepali rupees during trek.

When and where you will arrive?

You will arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu and there will be our staffs on terminal gate holding Paradise Destination signboard. He /she will drive you up to hotel on private car.
